Near Bosch en Duin, Udenhout, yesterday morning. It is the largest open Dune area in Europe not directly related to the sea. It is our little Dutch Sahara, two miles from where I grew up. We had a coffee at the restaurant and then took a brief walk, watched children playing here, in the sand, and people riding horses in the distance. I’ve been coming here since the early 1980s, but only now I fully appreciate its uniqueness. We will be back here, in a couple of months.
